"Drop The Bass" contest launched in conjunction with Indaba Music.

Booyah, a leading social web and mobile entertainment company, in conjunction with Indaba Music, a collaborative social network for musicians to create tracks online, and Ableton Live, today unveiled the “Drop The Bass” Contest. The “Drop the Bass” contest allows artists to submit their music for a chance to be featured in Booyah’s Nightclub City, where more than seven million players can hear it at any time.

The wildly popular Nightclub City has proven to be a viable music discovery medium and marketing platform for indie artists on Facebook. In just a few short months, musicians featured in Nightclub City have seen, on average, a 1000% increase in “likes” to their fan pages. This social networking tool, coupled with more than 500,000 musicians on Indaba Music who use online tools to create music together, makes the “Drop the Bass” Contest a popular

Starting today and continuing for four weeks, artists of all genres can use tools provided by Indaba Music to submit their tracks for inclusion in Booyah’s Nightclub City. Once submitted, a panel of Booyah, Indaba and Ableton employees will choose a select number of songs, and Nightclub City players will vote for their top ten favorites tracks. Ten chosen winners will then have a featured set in Nightclub City showcasing their musical creations.
