Newell, Harrison, Cohen and more confirmed for DICE 2007

Although a 'high-profile' keynote speaker is still to be announced, an number of industry leaders have confirmed their appearance at the 2007 DICE Summit in Las Vegas.

Although a 'high-profile' keynote speaker is still to be announced, an number of industry leaders have confirmed their appearance at the 2007 DICE Summit in Las Vegas.

Valve's Gabe Newell is to deliver a speech entitled 'Half Life and the Struggle for Survival', Samantha Ryan from Monolith Productions will discuss 'Navigating Development Studio Rapids', and Ubisoft's Jay Cohen will deliver a presentation on 'The Hidden Riches in Game Advertising'.

Gas Powered Games' Chris Taylor will discuss 'Innovation and Evolution: How to be Supreme Commander of the Development Process', while Ritual Entertainment's Steve Nix will address 'Studio Survival, One Level at a Time', with David Reid of GameTap offering 'Why Casual Game Players May Rule Tomorrow's Market'.

Sony's Phil Harrison will also address the summit, although his address has yet to be specified.

"With an incredible line-up of speakers and activities, DICE Summit 2007 is poised to be a dynamic event for the interactive entertainment industry," said Joseph Olin, president of organiser AIAS.

"With both returning and new speakers discussing topics affecting the industry, DICE will again prove itself to be a 'can't miss' event for industry leaders," he added.

The DICE Summit is organised by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences and will take place February 7th - 9th 2007, at the Green Valley Ranch Resort, in Las Vegas.
