New speakers announced for GameHorizon Conference

PlayStation Home, EA Partners, Quantic Dream and BBC send representatives

The head of PlayStation Home, Quantic Dream's co-CEO and the former executive director of GDC have all been confirmed as speakers at the GameHorizon Conference in the UK.

Peter Edward is director of the PlayStation Home Platform group and will give a talk concerning the opportunities offered by the platform to other games companies - as well as revealing details of new content.

Guillaume de Fondaumière will give a behind the scenes look at the technology enabling Quantic Dream's PlayStation 3 exclusive Heavy Rain.

EA Partners outreach director and former GDC director, Jamil Moledina will host a panel session entitled 'The Survival of the Fittest', with Epic Games' Mark Rein, Eutechnyx's Darren Jobling and game law expert Robert Bond discussing how businesses can thrive during the current recession.

Also confirmed for the event is Marc Goodhild, head of interactive and on-demand for Children's BBC. He will join around 300 games industry executives at the conference next month.

"The diversity of the line-up we've put together for the GameHorizon Conference reflects the growing scope of the games industry and its market", said director Carri Cunliffe.

"With presentations from a mix of established players, up-and-coming organisations, analysts and business leaders from outside the industry, delegates at the conference will get a unique insight into where we are today and where the business opportunities will lie around the corner."

The conference is due to take place at The Sage Gateshead in North East England on June 23 and 24. Further information can be found at the official website.
