New Appointments

LONDON, September 6, 2005 - Square Enix Ltd., today announced the appointments of Michael Sherlock and David Dyett to the Marketing division.

Michael Sherlock joins as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He will take a leading role as the company moves toward self-publishing in PAL territories. Michael has more than 10 years experience in the industry, having held senior positions at Sega, Andromeda Entertainment and Acclaim.

"The first tasks at hand will be setting up a strong distribution base across Europe, and ensuring that we build a company brand worthy of our titles" stated Michael. "We have a lot of work to do, but this is a fantastic challenge".

David Dyett joins as Senior European Marketing Manager, and will support the company in understanding market needs and effectively promoting the company's products in each region. "It's great to be here - these are superb titles to work with and I've every confidence of building upon past success."

John Yamamoto, President and CEO in Europe stated, "We're delighted to welcome Mike and David to the company. Their skills and experience will be invaluable as we develop in the coming months".
