This year’s Indiecade East wants to peel back the layers of what we call independent games. We want to acknowledge established independent developers along with those who are not as well known, be they newcomers looking to find their voices or veterans who have not been given their due attention. We want modders, authors of interactive fiction, homebrew game developers, and more--people who may not have traditionally been thought of as being game makers, but to whom the art and craft of indie games owes much.
Over the course of three days, visitors have the possibility to see selections of students' work, to play the games created during the study course and to meet the developers in person. Multiple events where you can talk, listen and participate, enable you to gain full insight into the topic of games and game design. Admission is free.

Mobile and touch screen technologies have brought our industry from a splinter culture to a central one. We’re in a new era for games, with a new generation of gamers and huge new possibilities for developers and publishers alike.
