Former programmers at Korea's largest game developer NCSoft are at the centre of an investigation into the theft of software code.

The Chosun Ilbo reports that several former employees are suspected of stealing code from online hit Lineage III and selling it to a 'major Japanese game company.'

Seoul Metropolitan Police are investigating seven employees who left the company in February and allegedly allowed a rival company to assess stolen software during a job interview.

The ex-employees are also under suspicion of leaking Lineage III code last September by email or portable media.
