NaturalMotion revenue jumps 80%

First half numbers help morpheme company to best first two quarters in its history

NaturalMotion has announced that in the first two quarters of its fiscal year 2009 it saw revenues jump by 80 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The company, which produces the morpheme and euphoria middleware technology, said that both products had been performing well in the marketplace.

"The first two quarters of our fiscal 2009 have exceeded our revenue and profitability expectations," said CEO Torsten Reil. "We're particularly pleased with the adoption rate of morpheme over the period, a testament to the product's quality as well as the desire by publishers to put their games on solid, future-proof technology foundations."

The announcement follows the news yesterday that the company, which has offices in Oxford, UK and San Francisco, US, has licensed morpheme to Activision and Robomodo for the forthcoming Tony Hawk: RIDE title.
