NationStates 2

Browser-based political sequel to launch ahead of the US election.

For Immediate Release

28th April 2008

Dublin, Ireland. After two million nations created and five years of international intrigue, OMAC Industries is proud to announce that the sequel to one of the most interesting Persistent Browser Games on the web is nearly here.

Working extremely closely with Max Barry, author and designer of the original NationStates, OMAC Industries is putting the final touches on what will be a continuation of the role-playing political experience that has attracted so many players from around the globe.

Max commented that, “with NationStates 2 (NS2), the design from day one has been all about longer-term gameplay. While the core principles of NationStates haven't changed — micromanagement is still a dirty word, diplomacy is the focus, and customization rules — NS2 greatly expands your nation's ability to affect its world. It's all about giving you top-level control and letting you take your nation wherever the hell you want”

In the spirit of the political climate in the United States, NS2 will be released after the American Democratic Party has chosen their 2008 Presidential Nominee but before the next President is elected. Updates and announcements about the game as well beta invitations will be available at www.nationstates2.com.

NS2 is being developed and operated by OMAC Industries, a publisher of Persistent Browser Games headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

OMAC Industries was established by a team of experienced online executives to become a leading publisher in the online video games space. Additional information can be found at www.omacindustries.com.
