Mystery Tales: Time Travel™

Era-hopping hidden object game headed for the DS.

Hilversum, Netherlands – February 25th 2010 - Following the announcement earlier this month that Foreign Media Games TM (FMG) has established a direct publishing operation in the UK comes news of the first product; Mystery Tales: Time Travel TM for Nintendo DS TM .

In Mystery Tales: Time Travel, players follow Mélanie Cygnes, a French author who occupies her dead aunt's vacated house where she stumbles upon an old diary. Unable to rein in her curiosity, she reads it and is instantly taken on a journey of discovery to places across the world and through times long past, including ancient Rome, baroque France and Victorian Britain. Players must help Mélanie solve riddles and find hidden objects in thirty unique locations around the world.

Based on the hugely popular hidden object game genre, Mystery Tales: Time Travel packs in thousands of discoverable objects and offers a variety of play styles including mini games, quick play and story modes where players encounter different game types including:

Hidden Objects Time Trial: Find the hidden objects within the allocated time. Logical Quests: Linear game play tasks unlock objects which allow progression, eg: find objects to put out a fire to reveal a secret passage. Hotspot Levels: A twist on the genre. In these modes players don't know which objects they seek until they fall upon a 'hotspot'. Reverse Level: Can the player remember where they found objects, because now they have to put them back?

The UK launch is supported by a major marketing campaign including consumer PR, online and in-game advertising, as well as a heavy slant towards women's lifestyle media and promotions in press and on commercial radio.

FMG Managing Director, Michel van Elmpt comments, "Our first UK release announcement is an exciting event for our company. With heavyweight sales and marketing support already in place we're confident that we'll start strongly with Mystery Tales in the UK."

Mystery Tales: Time Travel for Nintendo DS will release on 1st April 2010. Independent retail distribution is open.
