Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow

Object hunter headed to North American retail.

LANGHORNE, Pa., April 8, 2009 – Casual games developer and publisher eGames, Inc. (Pink Sheets: EGAM) announced a publishing agreement with pixelStorm entertainment studios Inc. today to distribute award-winning casual hidden object game Mystery Legends™: Sleepy Hollow to retail outlets this fall. A top seller on the leading casual game portals, Sleepy Hollow was recognized as the Best Hidden Object Game of 2008 by Big Fish Games’ prestigious Customer Favorites Awards program.

"We are delighted with the acquisition of Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow. It is consistent with our strategy of only acquiring those titles which performed exceptionally well on the major internet gaming portals. As a proven winner, Sleepy Hollow gives us a strong story to bring to retail,” said eGames Vice President of Sales and Marketing Rich Siporin.

Sleepy Hollow joins high-profile hidden object game Blood Ties™, currently entering distribution at all major retailers, and an impressive lists of titles slated for release in the coming months, including 4 Elements, Liong: The Lost Amulets, First Class Flurry, , and G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles™, the sequel to highly-successful G.H.O.S.T. Hunters, first published by eGames in fall 2007.

“eGames will bring perhaps the strongest box lineup in our history to the marketplace over the next several quarters. We have a proven history of retail success with the G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles franchise, while each of the other games in our lineup has performed exceptionally well online,” said Siporin. “As for Sleepy Hollow, we intend on introducing it for this year’s holiday selling season. The combination of a top-selling title coupled with distribution at retail during a period where retail sales are at least doubled usually results in greater sales.”

Created by casual game developer pixelStorm, Sleepy Hollow pits players in a battle of wits against the legendary Headless Horseman. Scouring creepy graveyards and funeral parlors for clues, players must unravel the mystery of the ghostly Hessian and learn the fates of the town’s twisted residents.
