Moto Racer DS

Nobilis's stylus-controlled bike game arrives on April 3rd.

5th February 2009

Moto Racer DS delivers an incredible and unique gaming experience on the portable Nintendo DS platform and is due for release on 3rd April 2009 by Nobilis and Ascaron Entertainment. Four adrenaline pumping race modes can be enjoyed using the unique SPH (Stylus Precision Handling) to control speed, machine handling and perform tricks.

Grand Prix is all about the speed and racing experience. Players can take part in championships, time trials, single and multiplayer races, choosing a variety of 18 challenging circuits to race on. Racers must select their motorbike carefully from the 14 available machines, deciding the right combination of power, weight and handling to ensure their victory on the track.

After mastering track racing, players can attempt Traffic mode, experiencing the thrill and skills needed to manoeuvre through busy urban cityscapes. Players can take on dual or multiplayer challenges to compete against other racers, using one game cartridge and the DS’s wireless capabilities. Over 10 different missions can be undertaken, such as successfully delivering a pizza without being hit by the heavy traffic hurtling towards you.

After mastering speed and manoeuvres, it’s time to learn the thrusts and landings required to become a Super Cross champion. Players can select one of the 14 different off-road bikes, using the customisation tool to alter the weight and power ratio so the machine is optimised for the challenging indoor circuits.

Freestyle mode requires impressive tricks such as ‘No Foot’, ‘Backflip’ and ‘Can Can’ to be performed, scoring as many points as possible. Further secret tricks can also be discovered, all of which can be achieved using the unique SPH, with the stylus controlling acceleration, braking, jumps and flips.
