Moshi Monsters Magazine

Tie-in magazine hits the shelves today.

~ Unique and engaging content influenced by Moshi’s 35 million-strong fan base ~

LONDON –  February 17 2011 – Leading social online games developer Mind Candy, publisher of global kids’ phenomenon moshimonsters.com, today announced the launch of the much-anticipated Moshi Monsters Magazine, which will be launched in association with SkyJack Publishing and will hit UK retailers from February 17th, followed closely by a global launch across key territories in Q1 2011.

Based on the world’s fastest-growing online game for children with over 35 million users worldwide, this brand-new monthly magazine (RRP £2.99), is packed with 52 pages of fantastic Moshi Monsters content, including comic strips, competitions, free gifts, puzzles, top secret Moshi hints and tips, character fact files and a huge amount of User Generated Content. The content has been influenced by the game’s mass player base, who were consulted throughout the development process via the site’s online community. Each issue will also include exclusive giveaways and unique codes that unlock new content within the online universe.

“It's an unusual step launching a print based magazine to support an established online community, but we think our online audience is going to love it." said Michael Acton Smith, CEO of Mind Candy. “Much of the content and ideas for the magazine was generated by our players so it should feel very different to other kids magazines. Print definitely isn't dead."

“We’re extremely excited to be partnering with Mind Candy on this huge magazine launch,” said Matt Yeo, Managing Director of SkyJack Publishing. “The sheer amount of content in each issue of the offical Moshi Monsters Magazine is staggering, and guaranteed to keep Moshi fans entertained for weeks.”

The magazine launch will be backed by one of the largest consumer marketing campaigns to support any recent children’s magazine launch and will include global TV advertising, print, online, email marketing, outdoor, sampling and PR – all intended to create one of the biggest and most successful kids’ magazines worldwide.

A subscription site will be launched to coincide with the magazine hitting shelves, which can be found at:  www.moshimag.com
