mobile game: Mechanics from OrangePixel

Orange Pixel is working on what seems to be a unique and interesting game for cell phones. The game is called Mechanics, and it has some similarities with Lemmings but comparing it to Lemmings would do harm to the efforts put into this game by OrangePixel.

Mechanics is basically a OneThumb game, where as you take control of various "Tools" spread around the levels. These tools will interact with your Mechanics and save them from harm as they happily walk around. Your main task is to figure out when and how to operate the tools and keep your Mechanics alive.

The game will feature four mechanics at the start of the game, and as you progress you are bound to lose a few along the way. The game, however, never restarts and you can always continue where you left of, that is as long as you keep at least 1 of your mechanics alive. Once they are all dead you can restart from the point where you last had your four mechanics alive.

The OneThumb game controls combined with the continuing gameplay make this game scream to be on your cell phone.

The planned release date is late August 2006

OrangePixel is still looking for interested Publishers for this game.
