Mobile Developers Vie for Publishing Deal in MOTODEV Game Developer Challenge

Developers have until August 10, 2007 to enter for the chance to "make it big"

MEDIA ALERT

August 1, 2007

Motorola is reminding independent game developers across the globe to submit their mobile game application to the MOTODEV Game Developer Challenge by August 10, 2007 for a chance to win a coveted publishing contract from mobile entertainment company and contest title sponsor, I-play.

Together with I-play and marketing allies, Sun Microsystems and Microsoft, Motorola encourages developers to enter their unpublished games in one of two contest categories:

· "Best Java® Software Game," submitted for play on the ultra-slim Motorola MOTOKRZR K1 handset;

· "Best Windows Mobile Game," for entertainment on the powerfully functional Motorola MOTO Q family of devices.

Open to all registered MOTODEV developers, the MOTODEV Game Developer Challenge is designed to recognize independent developers who are coding to create "the next big thing" in mobile gaming. The challenge has already received registrations from developers in more than 22 countries.

JUDGING & PRIZES

A panel of judges representing carriers, media and software companies will evaluate entries based on uniqueness, fun factor, design, operation, and innovation in visual arts and audio. Each category grand prize winner will have the rare opportunity to see their winning mobile title published by I-play. The runners-up will get to meet with the judging panel to discuss their submission and receive valuable feedback. All winners will receive a briefcase full of Motorola's hottest handsets and a package of I-play's best-selling games.

Category winners will be announced at CTIA Wireless and IT Entertainment in October 2007.
