Mixed ABC results for Future magazines

Titles dedicated to single format home consoles are doing better for the group, with Official Nintendo Magazine seeing a year-on-year increase of 37 per cent to 58,754.

Latest ABC data for the year ended December 31 2007, shows the publisher's other official titles are also showing improved circulation — Xbox 360: The Official Xbox Magazine is up 19 per cent to 66,894 compared to 56,057 the year before.

The recently launched Official PlayStation Magazine announced a debut ABC of 46,018 copies. The unofficial Xbox magazine Xbox World 360 also boasts a year-on-year increase from 23,202 to 31,698, or 37 per cent.

It's not such good news for the rest of the games portfolio, with flagship title Edge suffering an 11 per cent drop year-on-year, from 35,145 down to 31,304 and Future's other multiformat title GamesMaster slipping from 53,904 copies to 51,389.

PC Gamer's circulation slid from 43,620 to 38,654, or 11 per cent year-on-year, while PC Zone suffered worse with a circulation of 22,297, down 17 per cent from 27,002 in 2006.

Unofficial PlayStation 3 magazine PSM3 saw a marginal increase of 1 per cent to 26,885, but circulation for PSW dropped from 26,003 to 21,826, or 16 per cent.
