Mindscape Delighted To Announce The Release Of Brand New PC Game Fire Captain

Mindscape, one of the UK's leading software publishers and distributors is pleased to announce the release of Fire Captain, a brand new simulation/RTS game for the PC. Fire Captain, which is published by experienced French publishers Monte Cristo, is due to be released on the 25th February 2005 with a suggested selling price of £24.99.

The heat is on! Fire Captain ignites the 3D Real-Time Strategy genre with an entirely new enemy - the fire. Set in a metropolitan city along the US West coast, players face the perils of human-caused and natural disasters. Tackle windswept bush fires that threaten a hillside of suburban homes and the forest just beyond, battle chemical fires in manufacturing plants... scenarios are based on real-life events. Fire-fighting consultants worked closely with Monte Cristo Games to ensure ultra-realistic fire and smoke behaviour; accurate vehicles, units and fire-fighting tools and techniques that showcase the hazardous conditions and scenarios that thousands of fire-fighters around the world bravely face every day.

The game contains single and multiplayer modes, twelve increasingly difficult missions, nine fire-fighter specialist roles and thirteen high performance vehicles.
