Bizarre Creations' critically acclaimed Project Gotham Racing 2 has become the latest title to be bundled with the Xbox console, with a new bundle deal seeing the game shipping with a console for £129.99.

The launch of the new bundle, which is available at UK retail from today, is quite probably Microsoft's final push in the Christmas retail sales battle - which has seen the Xbox outselling the GameCube in the UK by a decent margin, albeit a smaller one than last year's.

Project Gotham Racing 2, however, has had a disappointing few weeks in the UK charts, debuting at number 17 in the full price chart last week and dropping ten places to number 27 this week - well behind Nintendo's Mario Kart: Double Dash, which debuted at number three and was still at number 16 this week.

The PGR2 bundle - which also features two months free subscription to Xbox Live - will join Microsoft's other current bundling effort at retail, which sees the console bundled with Halo and Midtown Madness 3 for £139.99.
