Microsoft and EA vets join Blade Games

Justin Weng and Tony Zander join outsourcing developer in Shanghai

Outsourcing and middleware studio Blade Games has announced two new appointments, with Justin Weng becoming head of product development and production, and Tony Zander joining as senior art director.

Weng was previously lead producer and general manager at EA Pogo Shanghai and also has experience at Ubisoft's Chinese studio. Weng will manage all of Blade's outsourcing production teams, as well as overseeing an unannounced new internal project.

Zander has previously held several technical art director and design director positions at Microsoft, including multiple roles on the Microsoft Flight Simulator series. He will also be working on a combination of outsourced and internal projects.

Blade was founded earlier in the year as the result of a merger between Digini and Vyk Games. The company has offices in Washington and Nanjing, China - as well as a Shanghai studio where Weng and Zander will be based.
