Microïds' Mac line-up

Still Life 2 plus Return to Mysterious Islands 1 and 2 coming to OS X.

For immediate release

Paris, April 15, 2009 - Microïds today announced the company is relaunching the production of its games for Macintosh, first for its releases of the year, then for the hits from its catalog.

Microïds entrusted GameCo to develop "Still Life 2” for Mac, to hit the shelves on the end of Q2 2009 (depending on the countries). It will be followed by "Return to Mysterious Island" and "Return to Mysterious Island 2", both developed by Coladia, a studio specialized in Mac development. Microïds has also entrusted Coladia to develop few more titles from its catalog, which will also be released in 2009.

Roch Roustan, Microïds General Manager, says: "A significant proportion of the community of our fans, who traditionally played on PC, has moved on Mac over the last few years, with the success of its new models and notably the Apple iMac. We will therefore offer to fans of adventures and rich worlds to play our games on their Mac. With a market share of 15% of machines sold in the United States, Macintosh has become an essential source of growth for our catalog and our future titles."
