Costa Rica launch event announced.
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. and Sony Computer Entertainment of America Inc. (SCEA) today announced their partnership for the Costa Rica launch event of METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER for the PSP ® (PlayStation ® Portable) system in Latin America. Staying true to Hideo Kojima's expansive and historical storyline, which takes place in the Central American country, the first-of-its-kind launch event will bring fans face-to-face with the unique setting that inspired the game.
Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc (SCEA) will present the METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER Exclusive Latin America Kit, available at major retail locations in Costa Rica, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.
Launching on June 8, 2010, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER Exclusive Latin America Kit comes complete with the METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER game on UMD ® (Universal Media Disc) and features a limited edition "Skull-Camo" PSP-3000 system, marking the first time the design will be available in Latin America. Additionally, special in-game content such as an exclusive Camouflage Uniform with FOX logos and Stealth Gun feature, both of which will be unlocked early in the game will complete this ultimate portable Latin America package.
Developed by legendary Hideo Kojima - the mastermind behind the most successful video game tactical-espionage series of all time - METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER features a gripping story that unfolds through the artwork of Yoji Shinkawa and acclaimed comic book artist, Ashley Wood.The game takes the series in an exciting new direction with its incredible visuals and unique new game system designed specifically with the PSP in mind. The game begins with Naked Snake and his soldiers in Colombia, South America in the wake of the Cuban Missile Crisis. METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER introduces new AI Weapons - giant unmanned behemoths that Snake must overcome to complete his mission.
