Menus Master

Licensed by Fahrenheit to do the menus in Heavy Rain.

Paris, France – October 30th, 2008: Omegame today announced that Quantic Dream, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy in North America) and Omikron The Nomad Soul, have licensed Menus Master, the complete User Interface toolchain, for its upcoming exclusive Playstation 3 title Heavy Rain TM .

“Heavy RainTM will be a very unique entertainment experience, explains Guillaume de Fondaumière, Co-CEO of Quantic Dream and Executive Producer of Heavy RainTM. We want to immerse audiences emotionally in the story, make them care for the characters and what happens to them. The user interface, which is the link between the game and the player, is therefore very important. We benchmarked different technologies available on the market, and finally selected Menus Master as it was the only solution providing both great artistic possibilities and easy integration within our in-house engine and tools”.

Menus Master helps artists and programmers dramatically reduce the time it takes to author any sophisticated game user interfaces: 2D and 3D front-ends, in-game UIs and heads-up displays (HUD). The game user interface can be fully authored by artists, without any need for a programmer’s assistance.

“We are very proud Quantic Dream decided to use Menus Master. The team strives for excellence in all production areas and it is an honor for us to be associated with Heavy RainTM, one of the most highly anticipated titles worldwide, said Sebastien Kohn, Sales & Marketing Director for Omegame”.
