Media Awards finalists announced

The nominations for this year's Games Media Awards have been revealed, with almost all the specialist print categories completely dominated by Future or Imagine titles.

The nominations for this year's Games Media Awards have been revealed, with almost all the specialist print categories completely dominated by Future or Imagine titles.

In the specialist online section of the awards Eurogamer and GameSpot dominate with three nominations each, with IGN, Spong, Kotaku and Joystiq all represented as well.

The mainstream media section, focusing on individual writers and broadcasters, takes in newspapers, magazines, TV and radio, and includes nominations for the likes of The Guardian, Stuff, the BBC News web site, and BBC radio networks.

The awards will take place on October 11 at the Soho Revue Bar in London.
