Bomberman is a strategic, maze-based bombing game originally published in the 80’s. The point of which is to use strategy and timing to place bombs to defeat your enemies.
Max Pow carries the same premise as Bomberman, but with more maps, more power-ups, more weapons, live chat, character personalization and multiplayer options.
Instead of just winning rounds by fighting monsters in a one-man game, like in Bomberman, Max Pow is designed keeping in mind the multiplayer support. Since Max Pow is a web browser game, players have the option to play solo or challenge their friends (or enemies) to battle. Because it’s real-time, there’s no turn-based playing, so the action is instant and swift. The goal is to be the last man standing.
Players can even personalize their characters. Max Pow has 8 different distinctly different occupations: Druid, Thief, Ninja, Witch, Hunter, Fighter, Mage, and Pirate; all of which have different characteristics and skills. That way, players can select different characters to suit specific needs for missions and battles. Players can even play in free-for-all and team modes.
It’s definitely not the same as the traditional Bomberman, but it is just as fun and entertaining, if not more. Max Pow delivers fast, explosive action, motivating players to remain competitive and fight to prove that they are the best player in the world. With the Max Pow leaderboards, players can track their ranking to see just how good they really are and what they need in order to bomb their way to the top of the chart!
