Mastertronic: September releases

Mastertronic have today announced their next release of high profile titles on their MAD and PC gamer labels, at the value price of only £9.99, due for release for the 28th of September 2007.

Heroes of Might and Magic V is the fifth installment of the Heroes of Might and Magic series and will be released on the MAD label after selling over 100,000 units, the criteria for any title to be included in the MAD range - 100,000 gamers can't be wrong! During 6 campaigns and 30 missions, the player conquers territories, manages cities and raises their heroes in a user-friendly, yet deep, strategic gaming system. The player is able to choose from over 200 skills, 170 creatures' abilities and 40 spells to build up their heroes and their armies and master more than 80 creatures to lead them into intense tactical combats. PC Zone describes the game as "better in every department than its predecessor."

Also being released on the MAD label is Maelstrom described by PC Gamer as "The strategy game that redefines total devastation." On a savage future earth, two remaining human factions must wage war against vicious alien invaders and each other in a desperate struggle for survival. With the ability to modify the terrain and use the elements as a strategic weapon, the player can create valleys, carve out lakes, freeze water, melt ice and even control tornadoes. The player enjoys intense, addictive six player multiplayer gameplay with different modes and online ranking and commands three factions each with unique identities and abilities, realised with graphically stunning models.

Rogue Trooper with be released on the PC Gamer label after meeting the criteria of a review score of 80% or more in PC Gamer magazine. On the surface of the war-torn Nu Earth there are tales of a mysterious and deadly lone warrior. A man who knows no allegiance but to his own mission of revenge against a treacherous enemy He is the ultimate soldier, the last survivor of the massacred! In Rogue Trooper the player enjoys high intensity action, with the use of quick thinking and next-generation intelligent weaponry to execute their vendetta. They will be able to wreak revenge their way by employing a tactical, ruthless combination of stealth and all-out action in wide, open environments. The game includes online multiplayer action where up to 4 players can co-operate to complete objectives online.

Just Cause will be released on the PC gamer label after receiving a review score of 85% in PC gamer magazine. Set on a fictional South American tropical island, the player works as CIA black ops agent Rico Rodriguez in a guerrilla war to overthrow San Esperito's dictator, who may be in possession of weapons of mass destruction. With 89 vehicles at the player's disposal they can choose from choppers, boats, cars, bikes, mini-subs and jets to explore the tropical island of San Esperito. The player is able to skydive, parasail, use a machine-gun, car-jack, base-jump and use a bazooka to make their way through missions as they lead a nation to freedom! "A beautiful engine makes this the most striking action game since Far Cry." - PC gamer.
