Mastertronic appoints industry veteran as new CIO

British-based value publishing group Mastertronic has announced the appointment of Graham Wayne as chief information officer, responsible for a range of areas including business development, technology research, product development and management of the firm's IT administration systems.

A DTI accredited business consultant, Wayne has previously worked for SCI, and for The Producers - the end-to-end fulfilment company which was purchased by Mastertronic in 2004.

"As a group, the diverse nature of Mastertronic operations demand an unusually broad range of skills from a CIO," explained Mastertronic managing director Andy Payne.

"We are very pleased to be able to secure Graham's services because he has worked extensively in games publishing - I first met him when he was at Telecomsoft in the 80s - as well as manufacturing, pre-press, marketing services, IT, comms and security. He is the ideal person to guide our deployment of new technologies as well as manage and develop the group's administrative systems," he concluded.
