Mario Kart leads in Spain and Germany

Mario Kart Wii is on top of the sales charts in both Germany and Spain, leading Nintendo's dominance

Mario Kart Wii was last week's the best-selling title in both Spain and Germany according to data released by Media-Control GfK International.

Nintendo Wii and DS titles dominated both charts, taking five positions in Germany and eight positions in Spain.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue was the only PS3 game to chart in both countries. The PS3 version of UEFA Euro 2008 charted in Germany, with the PS3 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 charting in Spain.

No Xbox 360 title made the list in either country.

The top ten best-selling titles in Germany for the week ending April 20 were as follows:

  • 8. Will Play (Wii)
  • 9. UEFA Euro 2008 (PS3)
  • 10. Mario Party DS (DS)
