Mamba Games/Lace Digital deal

UK sales and distribution deal signed.

Mamba Games, the multi platform games publishers, have signed a UK sales and distribution deal with Lace Digital Media Sales (LDMS). The partnership is designed to give Mamba a direct route to market via the LDMS sales and distribution solution providing them with a dedicated and tailored service.

Mamba was established in late 2008 by former THQ executive Robert Neilson. The team behind him has over 40 years experience in games publishing which has driven the international success of Mamba’s first release “The Lost Crown”, developed by Darkling Room. After gaining worldwide recognition with their first release Mamba is dedicated to do the same in the UK with their Q4 releases and firmly establish themselves as publishers of quality AAA games on multi platforms.

Jason Codd, Commercial Director at Mamba explains more about the company and its direction moving forward.

“We have had a really successful 6 months throughout Europe and we are now in a position to expand our portfolio and distribution networks further afield. The UK is a huge part of our business plan and LDMS have really impressed us with their knowledge of the market. We are excited to be working with LDMS in the UK and Ireland and we are sure that our partnership will be a success”

Mamba’s new sales partner LDMS is part of the Lace Group, an established independent sales agent that began trading in the home entertainment industry in 1998. Since then LDMS has grown dramatically and is now the leading independent Sales and Distribution company in home entertainment. LDMS focus, historically, was in the DVD industry but more recently it became clear that with the expertise they had within their sales team that the games market was the next natural progression. Being an independent company they are able to offer their clients dedicated services tailored to their requirements.

LDMS use Sony DADC, exclusively for stock and distribution management.

Managing Director of LDMS, Adam Lacey, understands the pressures publishers are under since the collapses of larger S&D companies such as EUK and Pinnacle.

Adam Lacey, ‘The games business is very similar to the DVD business in many ways, not least of which being the limited number of options to securing a successful path into the market place. Publishers need to know that their sales partners have the knowledge, skills and passion to deliver every time. Our focus and tailor made service is unique and we are very proud and excited to be working with Mamba.’
