MAINGEAR Implements Cutting Edge Liquid Cooling Technology from CoolIT Systems in New Beast PC

CoolIT Systems' Boreas with patented MTEC technology unleashes unprecedented overclocking potential for new MAINGEAR gaming rig

Calgary, Alberta - January 2nd, 2007 - CoolIT Systems, known for their top-performing MTEC liquid cooling technology, announces that its brand new 12 TEC Boreas Custom Chiller will now be utilized in the Beast from MAINGEAR computers, a company highly renowned for customized, overclocked, high-performance PCs. Leveraging CoolIT's advanced liquid cooling technology, the Boreas will effectively "chill" the Beast on display at CES. At the CES, this cold hearted Beast will feature the brand new AMD 4x4 "Quadfather" processor system and will be displayed in AMD's booth.

"Gamers are constantly demanding higher performance from their PCs and until now, our cooling power has been limited to passive water cooling," said Wallace Santos, CEO of MAINGEAR computers. "Our partnership with CoolIT Systems now opens up the overclocking potential that can only be achieved with MTEC liquid chilling technology." Jason Myers, President and co-founder of CoolIT Systems adds, "We are ecstatic to partner with an innovative thought leader in the computer industry. This blend of revolutionary technology will allow MAINGEAR to continue to push the boundaries for performance computing."

CoolIT's MTEC technology takes a unique approach to liquid cooling by utilizing multiple thermoelectric chillers to effectively chill the liquid as it passes by the computer's processor. This provides for more heat absorption at the source and an overall more efficient method of cooling than air cooling or other liquid cooling devices. Geoff Lyon, CEO of CoolIT Systems, claims that "Our award-winning MTEC liquid chilling technology far outperforms other systems on the market and allows for astonishingly low processor temperatures enabling the user to go further, faster, and quieter than ever before. CoolIT is now setting the new standard in performance cooling and we look forward to working closely with MAINGEAR to ensure their thermal requirements are met today and in the future."

The Boreas Custom 12 TEC Chiller system, the new Eliminator, the Freezone and other samples of CoolIT's patented MTEC Technology will be on display at CES at booth #71554 in the Sands.
