M Festival Spring

3,000 square metres of exhibition space and a 2,000-player LAN tournament this April at the UK's Stoneleigh Park.

January 2008, Southampton - Multiplay, organisers of the UK’s largest multiplayer gaming events for over 10 years, have announced the return of their flagship event – the M Festival. M Festival Spring is the most ambitious computer and video games event ever to be held in the UK and is the complete festival of electronic gaming. It takes place at Stoneleigh Park from 10th - 13th April 2009.

After the unparalleled success of Multiplay’s previous M Festival, held at Stoneleigh Park in August 2008, the UK’s largest community of gamers is set to rally once again at M Festival Spring 2009.

M Festival hosts the top names in the computer games industry as they reveal the latest and greatest gaming products. The most popular hardware and software is on display, bringing the newest innovations into the public eye.

Visitors to M Festival will be able to interact with everything in the huge 3000sqm exhibition hall and have the chance to win quality prizes throughout the weekend. There’s something for everyone to enjoy whether you want to try games for the first time or join in EA’s £10,000 FIFA 09 tournament you won’t find an idle moment.

PC gamers will be amazed by the largest LAN party in the UK as over 2,000 players bring their computers for the weekend, whilst console fans will love our massive console zone with games like Rock Band and Halo 3, playable by anyone who comes along.

All the family will find something to do at M festival as a whole host of outdoor activities are planned, with quad biking and air soft already in place and available for booking. Charlie Mora from Packard Bell said “There's so much to do and so much to see, it was great for us last year as lots of families attended. It's just brilliant - loads to do and loads to see.”

“M Festival was such a big success for us last year we never doubted it would return” said Craig Fletcher, Managing Director of Multiplay. “An event like M Festival can really help stimulate the industry and consumers at a time which might otherwise appear bleak. We’re not happy with just running another event; we’re raising the bar once again and making M Festival Spring a turning point for UK gaming.”

The Samsung World Cyber Games 2009 campaign kicks off at the event with the plans for this years team selection being revealed and the chance to watch exhibition matches between players from the medal winning 2008 WCG UK team.
