Lose yourself on an epic journey to the heart of a shattered empire…

For immediate release

August 2006 - Can you do the right thing by a shattered empire? Can you make the right decision and save those affected by years of torment? Buy the final instalment of the Myst® series and the fate of a civilisation is in your hands

Embark on the final leg of an epic journey which has spanned over a decade. Myst® V: End of Ages is here!

The concluding chapter of the Myst® series will be entering Focus Multimedia's best-selling Essential range of budget PC software, retailing at SRP £9.99, a fraction of its original selling price, ideal for Myst® fans on a budget, or newcomers wanting a piece of the action.

Licensed from leading software publisher Ubisoft, the fifth offering from Cyan Worlds has had sparkling reviews and deservedly so.

Ideal for those that enjoy a game where you have to think and explore, because think and explore you must do!

You begin the game in a seemingly empty room, but after thorough investigation discover everything is not as it seems. Presently you will meet the characters Yeesha and Esher who will in turn explain what you must do, and help you along the way.

Your quest: recover four stone tablets scattered through the different 'ages' in the game. These tablets will activate a fifth, all-important one. You decide the fate of this final tablet when the game reaches its conclusion.

In the meantime however, there are four beautiful and exciting worlds to check out. Gorgeous sandy beaches and dark, cavernous tunnels, they're all here!

With various puzzles to complete and such an abundance of land to cover, you're going to be kept busy for hours. This game, though suitable for both fans of the series and newcomers, is not for the faint-hearted.

Features:

Easy to use point and click interface Richer game environments Pioneering cinematic technology Help system (assists players of all levels) Puzzles to challenge the path of your journey and aid your success Innovative 'slate' system on which the player writes commands As a standalone adventure game, End of Ages is perfectly suitable, but it does also tie up some loose ends remaining from the previous instalments. Everyone should check it out, though, for the sheer genius of the plot, the gameplay, and the stunning graphics which have been described as "downright incredible" by IGN.com.

Craig Johnson, managing director of Focus Multimedia commented: "Myst® is a perennially popular series, which has a huge following. I'm sure there will be queues of people waiting to sign up to the latest, and last, adventure, Myst® V: End of Ages."

Myst® V: End of Ages is available now for a suggested retail price of £9.99 including VAT, and can be purchased from all good retail outlets of PC software. This product, and the rest of Focus Multimedia's range is available to buy direct from www.focusmm.co.uk
