London to host second annual Games Market Europe conference

London to host second annual Games Market Europe conference

Organisers of the second annual Games Market Europe conference have announced dates, venue and exhibition details for this year's event, including a freeze on prices designed to encourage more exhibitors to attend.

Expanding the exhibition, networking and meeting space, the 2006 UK trade event boasts a number of additional features, including a retail store of the year promotion, meeting areas for domestic and international buyers, conference facilities for product and retail presentations, retailers meeting area, and a one-day conference for City fund managers and venture capitalists.

Commenting on behalf of organisers Barrington Harvey and Tandem Events, Simon Harvey and Andy Lane stated: "The format, price, space and ethos of Games Market Europe works. Retailers want to see new products, talk business and network, and as the third largest global sales territory, the UK deserves its own business and retail event."

Delegate attendance for trade members is free of charge, and the prices for exhibition space have been frozen at 2005 prices, with a unified stand size to enable all exhibitors to enjoy a quiet, business focused and cost effective trade environment. Exhibitors at the first GME event last year included companies such as Nintendo, EA, Ubisoft, VU Games, Nokia, NCsoft, and more, attracting almost 2000 industry professionals from more than 20 countries.

GME 2006 will take place at London's Business Design Centre on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th September. More information on the conference, exhibitors, registration and pricing can be found by visiting the official GME website.
