Eidos' creative director leads the event for the second year, taking place over June 23-24

Ian Livingstone, creative director of Eidos, will host the GameHorizon Conference for the second year, taking place over June 23-24 at the Sage Gateshead in Newcastle.

GameHorizon detailed the latest industry professionals to sign up as speakers for the event, including Alex Bubb, senior third party account manager at Nokia, Chris Bergstresser, chief executive of Webcarzz, and Patric Palm, CEO of Hansoft.

Steve Clayton, software-plus-services lead at Microsoft, will also attend, along with Robert Bond, of the UK law firm Speechly Bircham, and Robert Gurr, regional marketing manager at Custom House.

"Our line-up of speakers is really taking shape, and we're glad to have Nokia on board who will be able to provide an insight into where things are heading in the mobile games industry," commented Carri Cunliffe, director of the GameHorizon Conference.

"The conference as a whole will look at where the games industry is heading with particular focus on digital distribution as well as having some good business and technology speakers, such as Steve Clayton."

"It will help focus decision makers' minds on what are the opportunities in these challenging times, as well as giving them the opportunity of networking with other games industry professionals"

Previously announced speakers include industry heavyweights such as Realtime World's CEO David Jones and Epic's Mark Rein.

The early bird discount will be available at the conference's website until March 31, offering attendance for the price of GBP 199, compared to standard price of GBP 275.
