The Science Museum has announced the final Game On events for 2007, with Lego Star Wars creator Jonathan Smith bringing the exhibition to a close next month.

Smith will detail the popular series' evolution from concept to store shelf, in Building a Computer Game, on February 6th.

Other events planned for January and February include Edge magazine's Margaret Robertson discussing Why We Play Games on January 16th, Videogames: Look at the Future by Chris Doran of Geomerics on January 22nd, and representatives from the International Games Developers Association presenting Games Gone By: A History of Videogames on February 2nd.

"With this final series of events, we are presenting a thorough view of videogaming's past, present and future," said Gaetan Lee, events co-ordinator for The Science Museum.

"Jonathan Smith will show us how we make games today and we'll look back to where games have come from with Games Gone By. We'll take a look into the future of videogame environments with Chris Doran and to put gaming as a whole into context, Margaret Robertson looks at why we play games in the first place," concluded Lee.
