Leading Game Industry Recruiter Places Vice President at Majesco Entertainment

Senior Executive to Oversee Internal Development for Los Angeles Studio

In his new role, Petro will be responsible for building and overseeing studio operations for Majesco Studios, Majesco Entertainment's new Los Angeles facility focused on developing software for the Wii system and Nintendo DS. Petro will build Majesco's in-house capabilities by contributing innovative ideas towards all aspects of game technology, production, and design. Key aspects of his responsibilities will include strategic planning and direction for the new studio, as well as hands-on management and mentoring of a diverse team of programmers and game designers.

Majesco has been an established publisher in the video game industry for more than18 years. The company is an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, with a focus on publishing video games for the the Wii console and leading portable systems including the Nintendo DS and PSP® (PlayStation® Portable). Petro began developing games in the early 1990s, moving onto senior management roles at Sega, Atari and Konami. In his most recent role as Senior Vice President of Development at Sega, Petro was responsible for running all development in the U.S. and Canada. His lengthy development career has afforded Bill the requisite technical and business knowledge, awareness of relevant industry trends and players, and strong understanding of the consumer marketplace necessary to build Majesco Studios into a commercial success.
