Latency Kills: Online Game Companies Find Peer 1 Network's Performance Best for Delivering a Real-time Gaming Experience Over the Net

LeetServers.com, TheUltimateGameServer.com and FatpipeServers.net move servers to Peer 1's New York data center in May

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - THURSDAY, JUNE 2nd, 2005 - The fast growing, multi-billion dollar online video game industry is dependant on high-performance Internet networks. Peer 1 Network Enterprises, Inc (TSX-V:PIX) enables gaming companies to deliver an enjoyable real-time gaming experience to online video game enthusiasts. That wisdom was reinforced this past month with the addition of three game-server providers to Peer 1's list of over 900 customers world-wide. LeetServers.com, TheUltimateGameServer.com, and FatpipeServers.net all moved equipment in to Peer 1'sNew York data center in May.

"After much testing we have decided to change our present backbone to Peer 1," announced LeetServers.com on their website. "As most of you know, Peer 1 is top-of-the-line backbone here in the Northeast...Pings are really low and very stable."

A "ping" is one way to measure the speed of a network. Low ping times mean that the network is fast. For gamers who are trying to out-maneuver other players in real-time on-line, this is critical. A slow network can cost a player the game. The fact that Peer 1 Network has some of the lowest ping times in the industry makes the company a top destination for installing computer equipment amongst gamers.

"Gamers are getting more and more savvy, and are demanding the very best in network performance," said Robert Pallini, President of LeetServers.com "Peer 1 delivers the ultimate in high-speed, low latency network performance which is essential for giving our customers a gaming experience with no interruptions."

Peer 1's Chief Technology Officer, Mark Teolis, concurs. "Our network was built with applications such as gaming in mind. We know that for some, even a little bit of latency or downtime can be costly so we've designed the network to mitigate against that."

Peer 1 Network joined the rest of the video game industry at E3 Expo (www.e3expo.com) this past month in Los Angeles gaining exposure to some 70,000 plus attendees.
