KODE5 Launches KODE5 Finland

(Helsinki, FINLAND) - July 17, 2006 - Following the announcement of KODE5 Sweden last week, KODE5 is pleased to announce the second KODE5 qualifier to hit the Nordic region. Today, KODE5, along with The Assembly and Assembly TV, revealed the launch of KODE5 Finland, which will be hosted this year by the biggest LAN party in Finland - The Assembly. Host to over 5,000 gamers and computer enthusiasts worldwide, The Assembly is one of the world's largest and most well-respected LAN events. Now in its 15th year, The Assembly is a perfect spot to help promote KODE5's message of competitive gaming. Supported globally by Foxconn, Corsair Memory, and Razer, and supported regionally by many others, the KODE5 Global Gaming Revolution takes competitive gaming to an international stage with events being held in 20+ countries worldwide.

KODE5 Finland Regional Qualifier

From August 3rd to August 6th, KODE5 Finland will be hosted by The Assembly. Located in the Finnish capital of Helsinki, Assembly 2006 is one of the largest computer festivals in the world, which attracts around 5,000 gaming enthusiasts and demoscene fans from all over the world to compete in the media art and gaming competitions. Aside from gaming, The Assembly also holds multiple other competitions and contests, including soccer and street basketball competitions. Music concerts and multiple informative seminars also await Assembly attendees. Assembly 2006 is the 15th anniversary event with prizes exceeding $50,000 USD. This year, this massive four-day event will be hosting the first ever KODE5 Finland competition to determine who will earn the right to represent Finland at the KODE5 Global Finals in September.
