Kirby and the Forgotten Land scores second No.1 | UK Boxed Charts

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands slips to No.4

Kirby and the Forgotten Land has held No.1 in the UK boxed charts for a second week, the latest GfK data has revealed.

The Nintendo Switch game comfortably retains the spot after sales fell just 43% week-on-week. The first 3D Kirby game is the fastest selling game in the franchise by a long way, and is already the fourth best-selling Kirby game of all time in the UK.

Elsewhere, Elden Ring actually rises a spot in the charts to No.2, despite a 22% sales drop week-on-week. Meanwhile, Pokémon Legends: Arceus rises to No.3 after a 9% drop in sales week-on-week.

One of last week's other new releases, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, fell from No.2 to No.4. The game's second week sales are only down 38%, which is a strong performance for a core game in its second week. The majority of Tiny Tina's sales have been digital so far, and this chart does not factor in download sales.

Meanwhile, Bethesda's Ghostwire Tokyo falls from No.11 to No.23 in its second week after a 70% sales slide.

There was just one new game in the Top 40 this week, Crusader Kings 3: Console Edition from Paradox. The game just about makes the chart at No.40, with 81% of sales on PS5 and the remainder on Xbox.

Finally, a number of price promotions pushed games up the charts this week. GTA: The Trilogy is up seven places to No.13 (sales up 57%), while Football Manager 2022 re-enters the charts at No.15.
