Kim Swift appointment

Former Valve lass joins Dark Void developer Airtight Games.

Seattle, Wash. - Dec. 7, 2009 - Kim Swift, known best for her team lead role on the acclaimed title Portal has joined Airtight Games as a Project Lead. She will build and lead a team in the development of games aimed at a more diverse audience.

“We are thrilled to work with Kim,” Jim Deal, President, Airtight Games, said. “Her addition to the team represents a strategic move by Airtight Games into new and broader gaming markets.”

Swift comes to Airtight with several years of game design expertise. After being hired by Valve straight out of college along with her senior project team to create the award-winning title Portal, she has held key roles on teams that developed some of the industry’s most critically acclaimed and popular titles such as Left 4 Dead, and more recently Left 4 Dead 2.

"I've learned so much and had some amazing experiences at Valve," Kim said. "But when I heard I had the opportunity to work on innovative titles with my friends over at Airtight, I couldn't pass it up."
