Kick-Ass

iPhone version now available (although we thought it was already).

New York, N.Y. April 23, 2010 - WHA Entertainment announced today that the Kick-Ass game based on the blockbuster motion picture of the same name is now available worldwide for the Apple Platforms, iPhone, iTouch and iPad. The MSRP for all Apple Platforms of the superhero action game is $2.99.

iPhone users can now download Kick-Ass for non-stop superhero action!

With the movie now out in theaters, players can live beyond the film and take on the role of the Kick-Ass, Big Daddy or Hit Girl, three super heroes with limited super powers. When the main character Dave Lizewski, who is just an ordinary teenager with a love for comic books, asks himself "How come nobody's ever tried to be a superhero", he answers his own question when he dons a green-and-yellow internet-bought wetsuit to become the no-nonsense vigilante, Kick-Ass.

"Because it hurts!" But, overcoming all the odds, the eager yet inexperienced Dave quickly becomes a phenomenon, capturing the imagination of the public. However, he's not the only superhero out there!

Kick-Ass is a fully 3D action fighting game set in the third-person perspective, where the player can play and control modern day super heroes based on the super characters found in the film of the same name. Gamers will be able to play as the three primary characters in the film - Kick-Ass, Hit Girl, and Big Daddy. The story-driven game draws heavily from the strengths of the intellectual property; an action combat game where the characters finally grow sick of the crime around them, and decide that they will do something about it.

Featuring multiple environments within New York City, iPhone users will be faced with twelve story missions plus 4 bonus rounds, encountering frantic super hero action as they face bosses and mini-bosses portrayed by petty thugs and powerful mob bosses. Players will also have a blast with sub-missions and mini-games in Arena Mode, to add even more gameplay to the mix. Weapon upgrades are available as players progress in the game, and twin stick shooter action and environment finishers mean more gameplay variety! Staying true to the intellectual property, the game will feature visceral combat and plenty of gore, as the player's main goal is to bring justice back to the city, no matter what the cost!
