Karl Penn appointment

Heading Future Publishing's operations down under.

01/04/08 - Future, the special-interest media group, today announces the appointment of Karl Penn as Managing Director of its Australian business, Future Australia.

Karl has nearly twenty years experience in the media, having worked with Haymarket in the UK and Australia, VNU and most recently as Group Publishing Director for Derwent Howard.

Based in Sydney, Karl will oversee Future Australia's magazine portfolio which includes T3, Xbox 360: The Official Magazine and Windows Vista: The Official Magazine.

Future and its magazine titles are well-established in Australia, with a presence dating back to 1995. The company has licensed a portfolio of locally-published magazine titles since 2001 and in 2007 acquired cyclingnews.com, the highly successful Sydney-based cycling website.
