The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced that the host for this year's BAFTA Games Awards ceremony will be popular British TV presenter Jonathan Ross.

Ross, no stranger to the BAFTA statuettes himself as a past winner of several of them, will be presiding over an awards evening at the Cafe Royal in London on Tuesday, March 1st.

Among the nominees for this year's awards are Half-Life 2, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Halo 2, along with British-developed titles Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Burnout 3: Takedown.
