2006-09-26

Stockholm, Sweden

Swedish game developer Jadestone today released DreamTeam with Aftonbladet, Sweden's largest newspaper and part of Schibsted ASA. DreamTeam is Sweden's most well-known ice hockey game on the Internet.

DreamTeam is the second launch under a three year agreement with Aftonbladet, and it is the most competent online fantasy sports game ever launched in Sweden, where ice hockey is the most popular winter sport.

"The new DreamTeam, the second release on our sport games platform, is doubtless more exciting, good looking and robust than our first release. I am confident that we are moving the genre to a whole new level of user friendliness, says Jonas Jepson producer at Jadestone. Jadestone has many years of experience developing online sports games and we are proud of our version of DreamTeam."

With almost 10 successful years on the market, DreamTeam is one of the best known games on the Swedish sports games market.

Johan Åsén, business developer of Aftonbladet New Media:

"DreamTeam is an incredibly appreciated game among Aftonbladet's readers. We're impressed by the competence and passion provided by Jadestone. I have no doubt that this autumn's DreamTeam will be much appreciated."

Aftonbladet is the largest circulation newspaper in Sweden and its associated website tops the charts in terms of online traffic & usage, with an audience of more than 8 million monthly unique visitors.
