iTAGG launches new mobile content delivery platform

8bit Games signs up for delivery of wireless gaming portfolio

iTAGG has launched its free to use and fully customisable content delivery platform for the mobile industry, signing mobile game developer 8bit games as its first customer.

The platform is content neutral, which means a broad range of media can be seamlessly delivered direct to mobile phones using the same application, including images and photos, games, ringtones, icons and accessories, wireless applications and more.

Linking into a customer's existing website and fully customisable to ensure the same branding, look and feel, of has been designed to cover a broad range of media, is aimed at use with no set up or monthly fee, content can be ordered and billed using the iTAGG platform and delivered via the iTAGG mobile gateway direct to consumers handsets.

8bit Games, creators of mobile titles including Colin McRae Rally 04, Conflict Vietnam and Lemmings, will use the iTAGG platform to offer gamers direct access to games, with UK customers having the option of being billed via SMS, while customers in other territories will be able to pay for content via a secure WAP link developed by iTAGG.

David Vout, director of business development at 8bit Games, commented: "When looking to develop a more direct channel to our customers the iTAGG content delivery platform was the obvious choice. The off the shelf product is so customisable that, in effect, we have a bespoke application that can be tailored to reflect the look and feel of our own site and which can be updated and refined as we need it. Compared to other offerings on the market it is hugely competitive in terms of flexibility and price."

"iTAGG's content delivery platform is aimed squarely at companies which have existing content and are keen to generate additional revenue from it. For companies that see the potential of mobile but don't have the time or inclination to become experts in the field, its flexibility and ease of use are major attractions," added Steve Procter, iTAGG CEO.

8bit's first titles to be delivered via the new platform will be IFSA Strongman and Red Bull Track Attack. More information on the new platform and its benefits for mobile content providers can be found by visiting www.itagg.com.
