iSurf

First iPhone effort from Cyanide's Canadian offshoot.

Montreal (Canada), 27th May 2008

Amusement Cyanide Inc., the Canadian arm of independent game developer Cyanide, today announced that it was releasing iSurf, its first game for Apple’s iPhone. iSurf is a fun and easy-to-play game which opens up the colourful world of surfing, allowing the player to ride gigantic waves and attempt breathtaking acrobatic manoeuvres.

Historically a Windows PC developer, Cyanide’s Canadian team were very excited by the prospect of working for the iPhone. « The iPhone is a very interesting platform, given its sleek design without buttons or pads, unlike other hardware. This motivated our game designer in the same way as did the Wii » declared Fabrice Granger, COO of Cyanide Montréal. « The decision to develop a game for the iPhone is a natural step for Cyanide, which has been broadening its target hardware platforms over the past couple of years. Moreover, the App Store is a very attractive distribution channel for developers, even if it is difficult to gain visibility » he added.

iSurf is a surfing game for Apple’s iPhone which is played using the smartphone’s accelerometers and touchscreen.

Learn how to master bigger and bigger waves and perform more than 40 manoeuvres. Carry out breathtaking aerial tricks over massive breakers, test yourself against humungous tubes and pull-off combos to amass points. When you smash a record you unlock exotic apparel for your surfers who, if they are not as cool as you would wish, soon will be !

The game is available now and can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store at a very appealing price. Follow the link to the iSurf AppStore page.
