ION announces five new speakers

Seattle MMOG event adds Nexon, DFC and Flying Labs execs to line up

The 2008 ION conference has announced the addition of five new speakers set to give talks about the MMO genre at the event in Seattle, Washington from May 13-15.

Heading the list is Joe Ludwig, director of development at Flying Lab Software. Ludwig will be talking about his experience working on the MMO Pirates of the Burning Sea, which recently announced the closure of seven out of 11 of its servers.

Also talking at the event are Min Kim, director of game operations at Nexon America, Dave Elchones of Virtual Worlds, and Dillon Seo, global business manager with the Korea Game Industry Agency.

Wanda Meloni, president and senior technology analyst with DFC Intelligence, will also be there to moderate a panel discussing the future of online console games.

They’ll join over one hundred speakers from across the industry taking part in almost seventy sessions. The full agenda is available at the official website.
