Telco acquires stake in mobile social game maker.

LA (USA) / Hong Kong (China) / Jakarta (Indonesia) 12 October 2010 - Fast rising mobile Internet star Ozura World Ltd has sold a strategic stake to Inovisi Infracom (Inovisi) for $30 million. In return Inovisi will sell telecom infrastructure services for Ozura World's mobile social platform Fonwar. The instant messaging software expands outside the United States, experienced exponential growth across developing countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, India, South Africa and South Americas.

According to the company recent report, the Fonwar IM software has over 16 million users as of June and expected to double in next 12 months. Comparable to conventional Internet players such as Facebook 500 million users ($11.5 billion), Zynga ($2.6 billion) and Twitter ($1.4 billion) valuation according to SharesPost Report, the mobile Internet start up Ozura World's Fonwar (at 16 million users) is relatively small but not new to business. Despite the size, the company has over the last 2 years seen 30 million games and apps downloaded, 2 billion messaging messages exchanged, and close to 1.2 billion short messages (SMS) delivered.

“This is a strong statement of confidence in this partnership and in Ozura World,” Pak Jerry, president director of Inovisi Infracom, said during a conference call with reporters and analysts. "Partnership with Ozura World will enable the company to ride on the bullish mobile Internet phenomena which is perfect match with the company core products & services. It's just the beginning." Inovisi commented to the press.

On top of organic growth Inovisi is looking for more investment and acquisition opportunities in telecommunication and Internet space. The company is targeting over $120 million sales from mobile internet related business in next 2 years and could double by year 2013.

Based on domain registrar record, fonwar.com was started since year 2003 and having local presence in Asia such as Thailand and Indonesia in year 2006. Users can also connect to Facebook, MSN, Yahoo, Gmail and Friendster through mobile phone and the internet. The company is profitable and has no plan for IPO in the near term. The company indirectly competes with mobile messaging players such as Nimbuzz and Ebuddy, but does not compete with traditional MMORPG and advanced casual game players Notable indirect competitors of Shanda Interactive (China), EA Games or Blizzard Entertainment by focusing solely on mobile Internet space. Other indirect players crossing the line includes pure China play Tencent's QQ (Hong Kong listed), Japan Mixi and Gree (both Japan listed), as well as Internet players such as Facebook, MySpace and Zynga.
