Industry ready for X06 announcements

Microsoft’s annual Xbox and Windows conference takes place in Barcelona today and tomorrow, with the company expected to reveal new details of its software line-up for Christmas and beyond.

Microsoft's annual Xbox and Windows gaming conference takes place in Barcelona today and tomorrow, with the company expected to reveal new details of its software line-up for Christmas and beyond.

Taking place at 6pm BST, our sister site Eurogamer.net will be providing a live-text commentary of this evening's X06 press conference, covering all the major announcements as they happen.

As well as expected showings of previously announced heavy-hitters such as Gears of War and Halo 3, new software and developer partnerships are expected to be confirmed, as well as more details of the Live Anywhere initiative and continued support of Xbox Live Arcade.
