Impressionware unveils new IP

Hermit Crab now in development

Italian mobile game developer Impressionware has revealed it is working on a new title based on original IP Hermit Crab.

The game will be designed for one-thumb play and is said to feature high quality cartoon graphics.

Players will take on the role of Bernie the crab who will travel through 20 underwater levels on a rollercoaster.

Hermit Crab will feature two game modes and a hot seat multiplayer option.

"Until now Impressionware has worked with several high profile IPs and we have been pretty successful in releasing impressive branded games," said Impressionware MD Luigi Fumero.

"While we will keep on doing that we also want to start building our own new IPs. Hermit Crab is one of our first efforts in that direction and we will support it with various additional activities, including releasing web comics and web mini-games.

"Hermit Crab will show how high our production values are."

The game will be ready for release by quarter four of this year for "all major handsets", according to Impressionware. The company is currently seeking publishers interested in the project.
