IGN Entertainment, Fireglow Games Partner For Digital Distribution Of Sudden Strike (English Version)

Brisbane, Calif. - Feb. 1, 2006 - IGN Entertainment, a leading Internet media and services company serving the video game and entertainment enthusiast markets, has partnered with Fireglow Games to make digital superstore Direct2Drive a home of the Sudden Strike franchise, including Sudden Strike, Sudden Strike Forever, and Sudden Strike 2.

"What better way to ring in the New Year than to add Fireglow Games to the growing list of Direct2Drive publishers," said Jamie Berger, vice president and general manager of IGN Entertainment's Consumer Products division. "Sudden Strike's innovative style of game play adds even more variety to the already wide selection of games on Direct2Drive."

In the popular real-time strategy games of Sudden Strike, players command troops during the second World War over a number of historical battles and locations. As American, British, Japanese, French, or German armies, gamers fight with hundreds of soldiers and authentic vehicles through destructible environments, including an exciting single-player or challenging multiplayer mode. Whether playing commando-style or using the massive air raid attack, Sudden Strike puts World War II at players' fingertips. In addition, all of the Sudden Strike games include footage of the brand new Fireglow titles, Sudden Strike 3: Arms for Victory and Stranger.

"We consider Direct2Drive as an excellent opportunity to add more energy to distribution of our games," said Ludmila Ludvig, Managing Director of Fireglow Games.

Since launching in October 2004, Direct2Drive has been gaining popularity among IGN's largely 18-34 year-old male customer base with its growing roster of top games. Direct2Drive builds on the proven operational infrastructure of FilePlanet, IGN Entertainment's download site and IGN's separate HitPoints program, which provides full digital game downloads as rewards to IGN and GameSpy subscribers.
