iFone launches V-Rally 3D

PlayStation racer re-invented for the mobile market

Wireless entertainment publisher iFone has announced the launch of V-Rally 3D for mobiles, offering the wireless market a fast-paced 3D conversion of Atari's best selling PlayStation console game.

The first of a series of 3D mobile games scheduled for release this year from iFone, V-Rally 3D has been designed to test the limits of mobile handsets in order to deliver the most authentic, frenetic and fast-paced 3D racing title currently available.

The game, which will be available through major mobile network operators from February, features 3D racing across twelve different tracks in three distinct locations around the globe. Each location offers unique track conditions, and players are provided with an in-game interface showing timer, speedometer and tachometer to keep constant track of their performance in the race.

V-Rally 3D includes three modes of play, including a race against the clock in Time Attack, a series of unique features in the single player Championship Mode, and the ability to compete against opponents around the globe by racing ghost cars, downloaded from the worldwide high score hall of fame rankings list.

Enda Carey, iFone's marketing director, commented: "V-Rally is a unique 3D Mobile driving experience. It's been developed with sophisticated 3D technology to offer a driving experience close to that of the original console version. It's the best Rally driving experience on a mobile phone."

Operating a global distribution network live in over fifty countries worldwide, iFone specialises in the development, production and publishing of wireless entertainment, leveraging strategic partnerships with more than a hundred network operators. The company uses its dedicated account management, publishing and brand acquisition team to secure the best brands, licensed products and innovative new titles, producing games for a wide range of handsets in all major languages.
